Bing search campaign default bidding strategy

    Question

  • We are seeing that the Bing campaigns created through Bing ads API, without the bidding strategy attribute, getting EnhancedCpc Bidding strategy as default. We are trying to understand the period from when, no bidding strategy in AddCampaigns operation led to a EnhancedCpc bidding strategy. Please help us know the start time of this change.

  • Until January 28th, 2019 if you did not set BiddingScheme for Search and DynamicSearchAds campaigns, then ManualCpc was used by default. From January 28th, 2019 onward if you do not set BiddingScheme, then EnhancedCpc will be used by default for Search and DynamicSearchAds campaigns.

    I hope this helps!
