Azure storage account creation hangs RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

two days ago I deleted a storage account and try to recreate it. It is still "in progress" since then.
I found no way to cancel this operation.

The log has this entry for creating the storage account:

  • Hi Tom,

I also had this issue before, and the only way to get this solved is to contact the Windows Azure Support to get the Storage Account manually deleted.

    Best regards,

  • I have the same issue, but I can't find an option to contact Windows Azure Support for my MSDN provided account. My MSDN subscription says to report problems in these forums.

  • Hi James,

you can click on your Microsoft account (formerly Windows Live ID) in the top-right corner of the Windows Azure Management Portal and select "Contact Microsoft Support" to report your issue:

  • No need to contact support, simply create another account in the same subscription and same region. Once the second account is created, wait for a few minutes and the original hanging account will be created.
