A test name called WLAN Roaming Tests - OPEN NONE Under the category Device.Network got failed from Windows 10 HLK RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

I am testing a wireless network adapter present at win 10. I have the following test setup which are:-

    (1) A Device Under Test (DUT , wireless network adapter), which is a computer that is running the desired operating system (win 10 64-bit) and architecture for which i am going to seek certification

    (2)   win 2008 server r2 64-bit containing HLK studio and HLK manager. Here i am running HLK software to conduct testing

    (3)  A Support Device Under Test (SUT), which is a computer that is running the same version and processor architecture of Windows as the DUT.

    (4) A SoftAP Machine (also known as AP Controller), which is a machine that is running the same processor architecture of Windows as the DUT and SUT. This machine must have two compatible WLAN adapters installed and two Ethernet adapters installed.

    (5) Two ASUS RT-N66U routers, one 11ac ASUS RT-AC66U router were connected to gigabit switch, which are connected to DUT, SUT, AP controller and win 2008 server.

    (6) Ip addresses were assigned correctly among these systems in proper environment.

when i start this test, i am getting the following error:-

    Runtime Index: 4175715265
    Machine: EMBWISE-PC
    Process Name: C:\Data\test\bin\WlanAcceptance\Te.exe
    Process ID: 9912
    Thread ID: 10328

[HRESULT: 0x80131604]. Test operation failed: 'Roam_OPEN_NONE'

But when i try to connect both the router SSID's manually from DUT wireless adapter, it is working.

when i perform this above test at win 10 HLK software, test getting failed.

Please reply immediately for those who have done earlier this kind of testing at win 10 HLK

  • Hi praveen_emb,

Windows Forms General Discuss client application development using Windows Forms controls and features.

Since your issue is about HardWare dev, I will move your thread to that forum for better support.

    Thanks for your understanding.

  • Hi Praveen/Shaziya

Infact we observed the similar issue, but not with Roaming tests.

Same message was popped in log files, and based on analysis we concluded  it as test suit issue and we submitted with waiver request using contingency form from logofb@microsoft.com.

    Thanks,

    Srinivas
