Excel VBA querytable RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear All,

since new Excel (ver 1706) is running on some of our computers we have some problems with VBA macros including a querytables. We are downloading FX information from the website of the Hungarian National Bank. In older Excel versions it is still running in the right way and the macro is just downloading the necessary table information (including just FX rates per day) but when the very same macro is running on a new Excel then not only the table information is downloaded, but other text information as well. In our macro the following is condition is used for the querytable:       .WebSelectionType = xlAllTables , actually based on that only table information should appear in excel, but this is not the case.

Is there any solution for this?

Thanks in advance for your help

    Peter

  • Hello Peter,

Could you reproduce the issue on other computers with different Office version?  Could you please share your macro here for us to reproduce the issue?

To check if Office update causes the issue, you could follow the link below to revert to an earlier version:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-sg/help/2770432/how-to-revert-to-an-earlier-version-of-office-2013-or-office-2016-clic

If all computers with Office 1706 have the same issue and it is fixed when reverting to an earlier version, I think we could confirm that the issue causes from Office update.

    Regards,

    Celeste
