  • Data restore in sql server with most recent time - Sequential order 

    I have logfile withlastest time, fullbackup file with latest time,Differential back with latest time. Please tell me the sequence order which one I want to consider.

  • 1. Restore full backup
    2. Restore latest differential backup
    3. Restore all log files since the latest diff backup.

    Olaf has provided you a correct order. But remember, you need to use the with norecovery option before restoring the last log backup. Once you use the with recovery option to restore, subsequent backup files will not be restored.
