Petermcgehee question is clear to me and I would ask the same, is an upgrade prom (product) VS2010 to (product) VS2012 available or scheduled to be available?

I searched the web and stores and I suppose it is not, at the moment. If you have additional info please let us know.

No, there is not. Upgrading Visual Studio Professional from 2008 to 2010 used to be US$549 MSRP. Earlier this year, we lowered the price of 2010 Professional from US$799 to US$499 and discontinued having a separate upgrade product (SKU). You can now "upgrade" for US$50 less than it used to be, or buy new for US$300 less than it used to be, but it's one product (SKU) at US$499 MSRP: http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/redir/buy-visual-studio-professional-2012

Of course, pricing in local markets and from third-party resellers will vary.

The question regarding upgrading from VS 2010 to 2012 was meant to ask whether there is an upgrade package rather than having to purchase the full VS 2012 development system.

Still no answer. I own VS2010 and look to upgrade to VS2012. I was told by my suplier this was not available yet but that was a while ago. Is it possible to upgrade VS2010 to 2012? uk by the way

Sorry you did answer. No upgrade. Is VS2010 going to be the end then? are we expected to pay full price for upgrades now? I will stay put then. Or use the free one

I have the licensed copy of 2012. I just want to know that is it possible to upgrade my 2010 framework to 2012 without uninstalling the previous instance?

And if its possible then what will be the steps.

Hi,

As I know you can not upgrade visual studio 2010 to 2012 , you have to install the visual studio 2012 on you machine as a separated application, but you can upgrade your 2010 project to 2012 project by opening it then the upgrade wizard will guide you to the correct way.
