Samsung Series 7 Slate home button and orientation lock help

Question

I just got the Samsung series 7 slate and immediately installed Windows 8 developer preview on it. While this tablet runs WDP beautifully, I can't get the orientation lock button to work so my device is locked in the landscape mode and does not rotate. Also, the home button does not do anything. Can anyone tell me how to get the buttons to do what they are supposed to do. Thanks.

Nope....nothing of relevance to windows 8 on that site.  Any more ideas?

Try updating the BIOS, I believe that's what made it work on mine in the short time that I played with Win 8 on it.

 

The BIOS update download says that it's from last month, but that's just the updater program.  When you load the program it'll have an update in it.

Edit:  Since it's really a UEFI and not a BIOS, it's listed as the "Firmware" download.  Also, you'll need to install the Win7 accelerometer driver.
