POWER_STATE_USERIDLE behaviour RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear All,

       I am testing power management in wince 7, freescale's imx6q processor. I want to turn off the LCD and backlight in user idle state. I added the following in the registry for user idle.

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\State\UserIdle\{0007AE3D-413C-4e7e-8786-E2A696E73A6E}]
        "Default"=dword:4   ; D4

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\State\UserIdle\{EB91C7C9-8BF6-4a2d-9AB8-69724EED97D1}]
        "Default"=dword:4 ;D4

       I am calling the api SetSystemPowerState() with the POWER_STATE_USERIDLE in an application. When i click the application, lcd and backlight is turning off, but approximately after 3 seconds, the lcd and backlight is coming up. I saw in the terminal, it is going to state D0. Why the power state is transitioning to D0 state. Please anyone help on this.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Sowmya
