Variable declaration could be inlined RRS feed

  • Question

  • I had those simple lines:

    int lastDay = 28;
    int rem = 0;
    int res = Math.DivRem ( dated.Year, 4, out rem );

    I started getting such "messages" like in the title. They are not error messages and not even warnings, the are just messages. You can ignore them and your debug will say: errors 0. I want to understand what it all means. I have a very large program and I get thousands such messages. They clog the Error View, it is hard to find real errors or warnings.

    I thought that by rewriting these three lines like this:

    int lastDay = 28, rem = 0, res = Math.DivRem ( dated.Year, 4, out rem );

    I would take care of the problem. Not at all. It gives me the same "message" with the pointer pointing on rem = 0,

    What shall I do?
