User reporting that Address Book icon in People Picker non-responsive

Question

I still need to get hands on the user's machine and confirm various details like: Compatibility and/or Security (Intranet/Trusted) settings, but in general have you ever seen behaviour where the address book icon pops up a dialog for most people but not for some and only on some pages?

The browser is IE9.  

Apparently it works in Chrome ok.

And to add to the mystery, I asked the user to try another InfoPath form on another page and *that* address book people picker dialog does work.

Could this issue always be reproduced on these pages (containg InfoPath form) for these particualr users?

Please try the following see if it helps:

From IE9 side, try to clear IE cache, use compatibility mode, test on another machine, press F12 to check if there is any error like javascript.

From SharePoint side, check-out/check-in and publish the problem pages, recycle SharePoint site if possible, also may check ULS log when issue occurs.

1. Was able to recreate the issue with a fresh VM and new install of IE9
2. Realized that the issue was actually with how Infopath was displaying the form (in IE9 the form was getting cut-off to the edge of the page and not displaying the address-book at all!)
3. Fixed by pulling in the column width so the address-book icon displays!

Lesson learned: ask for a screen-shot from user in the future.
