Impact of changing Publisher display name RRS feed

  • Question

  • I will be changing the publisher display name of my Partner Center account from Japanese to English.
If I change the publisher display name, will I have the following problems?
    - Wouldn't an app already published stop publishing?
    - Can I still use the reserved app name after changing the publisher display name?

  • Hi,

    >>Wouldn't an app already published stop publishing?

You will need to create a new package associated with the new display name. Then update your app in the store.

    >>Can I still use the reserved app name after changing the publisher display name?

Yes, you can. But as I mentioned above, you need to update all of your apps with the new display name by creating new packages associated with the new name.

    Best regards,

    Roy
