  • Hi Surendra,

The easiest way to avoid this issue is set the margin of your report a little big. I have tested it on my test environment. If I set the margin to 0.1in, then the issue appears, when I set the margin to 1in, the issue disappeared. Select Report in the Properties window, and set the margin to 1in. Please try it.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Surendra,

Below is a screenshot shows your page area and its layout details in dialogue box.

    .

Your report dotted area where your table/matrix control have been placed is called Body Area.

and your table/matrix control is Report Control.

So based on my above equation : Page Width and Length >= Body Width and Length >= Report Control Width and Length.

Hope this will make some sense to you, but let me know in case still have any doubts.

    Thanks !!!

  • Hi Surendra,

For the first issue, if you set your document or section margins closer to the edge of the paper than your printer is capable of printing, Microsoft Word returns an error message when you send your document to the printer. You can manually increase the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right margins to the minimum required.  For more information about this issue, please see:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/224061

For the second issue, in Reporting Services, the width of the report body, including margins, is not larger than the physical page size width. To prevent empty pages from being added to your report, you can reduce the container size by dragging the container corner to the left. Besides, there are white spaces preserved in the report body by default. When the white space extends the body size beyond the width of the report, blank pages will be generated. Please refer to the following suggestions to avoid the extra blank page:

    • In the Report “Properties” pane, set the “ConsumeContainerWhitespace” to “True”.
    • Reduce the size of the “Report Body” from the “Properties” pane, or reduce the container size by dragging the container corner to the left.

Please feel free to ask if you have anything unclear.

  • Hi,

Please try to reduce the left, right, top and bottom margins from the Page Layout under page propertiesy default it is set to 1in.

Then export to word and let me know it works or not.

    Thanks !!!
