HttpClient's xmlns problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am working on a project that posts data to a java third party web server on my computer. The third party receives my data and posts it to a remote server that server process the data and returns results back to the third party server and finally return to my program.

I use HttpClient to post data to the third party. I got an error message. It said:

Conversion from from external to internal form failed. ExternalForm was '<string xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/2003/10/Serialization/"><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>\

I have been told the problem is "xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/2003/10/Serialization/"". The third party needs xmlns ="thirdparty.module". I didn't explicitly code the http://schemas.microsoft.com/2003/10/Serialization. I think it comes from HttpClient. So is it possible to specify the xmlns in HttpClient? Thank you.

  • Hi Peter,

Could you provide more details? It could be better to post some code and we can understand more about your issue.

And post the error information. Thanks.

    Best regards,
