Sharepoint DEsigner email cusotmization. RRS feed

  • Hi I want to use Sharepoint Designer to cusotmize email trigered from workflow. I pasted html code into the email body in Sp design and does not work.

    what is the trick to handle this?

  • Hi,

     

    I do this all of the time.  What to do is within the workflow click Actions choose "Build a dynamic string" and insert your code into this.  Then when sending the email insert the variable you just create into the body rather than the code itself.

     

    Also to note, make sure your code has no white space (one single line).  Also make sure you use inline styling.

     

    Any problem let me know.

    Is your workflow mail body accepts HTML conents ?

    Are you getting mail on your or used id ?

  • Some text-based e-mail programs are not capable of rendering HTML coding so my next question is where you are checking workflow generated mails ?

  • I have crated a workflow using sp designer and email gets trigerred everytime new item is created.

    In the email body, i have pasted the html codes....'m i doing it wring?:)

  • Hi, just check like this,

    in the Workflow Email Body section just assign the value from the share Point Mulitiline text field "Rich Text " Enabled.

    1) create a Multiline text field check the option "Rich Text" and copy your body text to this field

    2) in the workflow email body section add the lookup field from that select the this field value 

    and Save it, check once
