How to implement a rating functionality?

    Question

  • I want to develop an universal app (XAML, C#) that provides rating functionality: there is a list of items and the users should be able to rate them, quite a common scenario. I think I could use Mobile Services to manage the data - and I am still searching for some rating control. Unfortunately I neither can find any sample app that includes a rating feature nor a rating control. Any ideas or sample code?

    Thanks

  • For XAML UI there is no default rating control in the Windows Runtime XAML vocabulary. However, several third-party control vendors have created a XAML rating control, and there are several free ones as well.

I can't make specific suggestions, but if you search for Xaml Rating Control "Windows Store app" you should find several. If you search on Xaml Rating Control you will likely find some WPF and Silverlight ones as well which may be easy to port.

Most of the control frameworks include samples demonstrating their controls.
