Read all calendar items for all users RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an exchange acount user admin@companyname.com who has been given full rights to a number of accounts in the exchange server. I need to be able to pull all calendar events for all the users which admin has permissions. Is it possible to retieve all calendar events for all users in one find operation without specifying each email address?

    thanks,

    Barry

  • You might want to take a read of the forum guide first http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-au/exchangesvrdevelopment/threads and provide some information on what version of Exchange and what API's your using. With the Exchange Mailbox API's such as MAPi or EWS these all operate within the context of a Mailbox so any operations you perform are in the Scope of one mailbox not every mailbox in the MailboxStore (eg you need to query one at a time). From a calendar perspective one exception to this in EWS is the GetUserAvailability operation see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh532567(v=exchg.80).aspx this can allow you to query multiple mailbox calendars in one call for particular calender information eg if you get the calendar details you can return Subject and location information for appointments as well as Start,End and FreeBusy etc.
