Required Kinect software not detected RRS feed

  • Question

  • I hoked up a Kinect V2 to my Windows machine and had it running for a while. Then, the machine stopped seeing the Kinect Box. I thought the Kinect Box was the problem, so I returned and got a replacement. That didn't work either. I grabbed another cable and Kinect Box from a friend and I still have the problem.

When I run the Configuration Analyzer, all is normal down to the USB Controller part-it gives just a warning that it detects the USB 3 port, but can't tell the speed. Below that, it says the Kinect Box itself is not connected and below that it says the Required Kinect software is not detected. I re-installed the SDK, but that had no effect.

Any thoughts on t his would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Chuck...

EDIT: Oh, yeah, I'm now running Windows 10.

  • So, no help, right? Unless I want to pay for it. Which irks me when it looks like their software that's broke. Grrr...
