Lightswitch HTML Client for a Freelancing website RRS feed

  • Question

  • Would I be looking at lightswitch HTML Client the wrong way in thinking it could be used to build out a website where 'freelancers' could find work from 'clients'.

    This would include

    • the ability for users to register (both clients and freelancers)
    • The ability for clients to pay freelancers (paypal, bankaccounts, etc)
    • and many more features

I realize lightswitch would be great for creating in house business applications but just not sure of its ability to be used to develop larger consumer websites??

    Thanks,

  • Thanks for the link to that thread.  From reading through that, it does seem that it would be possible.  I am just not sure how much total control you have over lightswitch for an aesthetics standpoint.  I have only used it in a proof of concept type of scenario for business specific applications.  Do you have full complete control over the UI to make it not look like a Lightswitch app?  I am having troubles finding screenshots of apps created with Lightswitch to see the 'wow, they did that!?' effect.  I want to make sure you can make an application a bit 'artsy' I guess...especially since it would be used by the general public.

    Thanks again!
