Unknown SheetDimension() RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everyone,

    Worksheet element =
                    new Worksheet(
                        new SheetDimension() { Reference = "A1:C4" },
    Is it possible to not specify the SheetDimension? E.g. I cannot tell how big my excel worksheet is going to be in the end.

  • Hi there,
    From the Ecma spec (point 3.3.1.33), the element is optional, not required.
    I strongly recommend you to try out ClassesExplorer tool with the SDK (in the "tools" sub-folder of SDK folder.) In the "Index" tab of the tool, you can put SDK class name or schema tag name in the textbox, after you select the element you want to learn, the right pane will show you the Ecma spec (which defines the file format of Open XML), Implementor notes for Office 2007 and API documentation.
    This tool will helps you a lot to learn the file format and the SDK itself.
    Thanks
