  • What exactly you want to do? As question is not that much clear.

    If you want to add a link in top navigation bar then either than editing the onet.xml ( because it will be affected to every site which is created from that site definition) you can write a feature also or you can add manually also from site settings

  • Yes, to top navigation, but to the second level.

    First level is Home, Company, Intranet, Support, My Work

    and I want to add a new link inside Company. This list should point to document library.

    Preferably in onet.xml

  • <NavBars>

        <NavBar Name="$Resources:core,category_Top;" ID="1002" />

        <NavBarLink Name="Company" Url="document library.aspx">     </NavBarLink>

          <NavBarLink Name="Intranet" Url="abc.aspx" ">   </NavBarLink>

          <NavBarLink Name="Support" Url="support.aspx" />

          <NavBarLink Name="My Work" Url="work.aspx" >

          </NavBarLink>

        </NavBar>

    This is the onet.xml structure which i have used in my custom site definition.
