  • Sir first i want to know is it possible to see the moving of robot through simulation?? I mean if there is no usb connected robot then is it possible to see running a robot by a computer programing in VPL or Visual Simulation Enviorment???

  • Respected Sir,

There is a Visual Simulation Environment in which you can drive your robots using VPL as a programming language. For developing robots using MSRDS you need to throughly understand the Robotics Studio Namespaces, their functionality of methods, properties, etc in Visual CSharp and also Visual Programming Language VPL is an added advantage over all of them which provides a codeless robot developing functionality like drag and drop, connect the data inputs get the outputs you want and then you can simulate them using the Simulation Environment.

  • There are simulated versions of the Create, LEGO NXT Tribot and Pioneer 3DX. These are not complete simulations, but they are suitable for getting started and you can drive them around in the same way as the real robots.

If you look in the Start Menu there is a Visual Simulation Environment folder under Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio. There are several simulations in there. You can use any of these from VPL by importing the appropriate manifest.
