  • hey Guys can some one answer me this question please?

    In Simple Recovery model, changes since the most recent full backup are unprotected.

  • Yes and no. In actual fact you can protect changes since the most recent full backup through differential backups.

    However in simple you cannot perform log backups and therefore could not perform point-in-time backups either.

  • Basically right.

    With a full recovery model you can get a point in time backup of an exact time.

    With Bulked log you can get a recover from the last bulked logged backup

    Simple you cannot do either and the initial restore (followed by diffs) needs to be Full.

    However I notice you posted in Database Mirroring, in which case your recovery model must be full.
