  • Hi Fouad Roumieh,

This forum is for VSTO add-in issues when using Office object model . Do you want to develop a VSTO add-in for Outlook?

Do you want to create an appointment or meeting request using Outlook?  What is the email client and how do you want they synchronize with each other?

    Best Regards,

    Terry

    Thanks Terry.

It will be a web application, but it should create appointment/meetings requests that syncs with different email clients other than outlook.

Let's say you've created the request via VSTO add-in but the user on the other side is using thunberbird or gmail are they able to receive in their schedule.

  • Hi Fouad Roumieh,
It seems that you want to sync your gmail calendar and thunderbird calendar to your outlook calendar, right? Is below link what you want?

If you want to sync the calendar at interval, I think you need use gmail api to login your Google Calendar account and get ical address and then add it to your outlook calendar and vice versa.

Its actually the other way around, create a calendar item programatically via outlook api and then send to other email clients like gmail or else...There should be no manual intervention in the process. I'm not sure if this is possible or not.

  • Hi Fouad Roumieh,

As far as I know, office object model doesn't provide any property or method to do such work. Thanks for your understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Terry
