sign tool from Symantec does not support to sign the xml file

    Question

  • Hi guys, we owned the company account andd have bought EV certificate from Symantec for DocumentsLibrary, we received the hardware token and it got installed. When we downloaded the xml file, we found the sign tool Symantec does not support to sign the xml file.

Here is the error during the signing process. Can anybody have the same issue and figure it out?  :P

  • 1) Make sure that you have installed the certificate to this machine.

    2) Export the certificate and use that as the certificate file that you pass into the app.

NOTE: If I ask for code, please provide something that I can drop directly into a project and run (including XAML), or an actual application project. I'm trying to help a lot of people, so I don't have time to figure out weird snippets with undefined objects and unknown namespaces.
