New Share Point 2013 workflow RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am wondering if a new Share Point 2013 workflow can be setup to execute an SSIS package (Integration Services) 2008 or an SQL Server 2008 stored procedure and email the user when the process completes successfully? If so, can you tell me and/or point me to a link that will tell me how to accomplish that goal?

  • Hi,

In SharePoint 2013 designer workflow, there is no OOB way to achieve your requirement.

As a workaround, you can create a custom service, which can execute SQL Server 2008 stored procedure. You can call the custom service in the SharePoint 2013 designer workflow.

How to call service in designer workflow 2013 for your reference:

Here is a demo about SSIS package workflow activity 2007, you can modify the code to make it work in 2013:

If you don’t want to write code, you can use Nintex workflow. It seems that Nintex workflow provides the function:

While Microsoft supports and encourages open-source software development, it does not provide technical support for the software from third parties, nor does it guarantee that the software will work as described.
