Permission On Test Server

    Question

  • My company has several SQL servers some of which are used for production, UAT and development. Often we restore a database from a production server to a UAT server. After restoring the production database on the UAT server it has the same permission that it had on production. This is what we want. However often the permissions don't work. While the permissions are set up the SID seems to often be corrupted and to fix the issue we must remove the account from the restored database and re-add it and reconfigure the permissions. This happens so often we now remove and re-add the account every time we do a refresh of UAT. Is there any way to prevent this or to easily detect and fix this when it happens?
