About ServerTelemetryChannel save local app data to local folder

  • I look this paper

    Telemetry Channels Update

    When local user's network disconnect, I will save AI data to local folder.

    But I use these code

    ServerTelemetryChannel channel = new ServerTelemetryChannel();
    channel.StorageFolder = @"D:\NewTestFolder";
    channel.Initialize(TelemetryConfiguration.Active);
    
    TelemetryConfiguration.Active.TelemetryChannel = channel;

    it was not worked.It still keep information in memory.

    Can I do it?

    - upgrade

    - disconnect you box from network

    - see what failures you have

  • It will keep data in memory till yo loose connectivity. Did you check the folder when you did not have connectivity?

    Please also make sure your application can access/has write permissions to "D:\NewTestFolder"

    I sure my application can access D:\NewTestFolder".

    Currently , I downgrate my application insight sdk to 1.2.3

    It can work, although it doesn't write my custom folder
