problem with RSS-feed RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

On our site we are working with RSS-feeds, this was always working but since x-days/weeks (?) we can't display a RSS-feed from a specific site. All other RSS-feeds on the same page are working.

We would like to display this RSS-feed: https://www.ftc.gov/feeds/press-release-competition.xml
Other feeds from the same site are not working either (https://www.ftc.gov/stay-connected#RSS)

    We always get this error:
"The requested RSS feed could not be displayed. Please verify the settings and url for this feed. If this problem persists, please contact your administrator."

If I change the url of this web-part with another from another site, it's working...

    So:

    1. If someone could try this feed on his site, is it working? https://www.ftc.gov/feeds/press-release-competition.xml
    2. What can I do to solve this problem? Is it me or is it a problem for ftc.gov?

  • Hi,

    Quoted from:

Why would I need to register and trust external SSL certificates in a SharePoint farm?Well, most of the times you don’t have to unless you need to access an external website that is HTTPS SSL protected and you have not created the consuming service or WebPart yourself. You can by-pass the “not trusted certificate” issues from code, but what happens if you are using a WebPart that should just work and it doesn’t because of the not trusted certificate? Well, here are the errors and how to sort them out.
