Server Farm Configuration Not Complete

Question
-
Hello, I just installed SharePoint 2007 complete installation and see that on left corner is red alert message "Server Farm Configuration Not Complete". As it's anoing I wanted to get rid of it. So I googled topics and find out that there is such section under "Operations" named "Topology and Services" where I should click on "Services on server" BUT problem is that I don't have such link named "Services on server" - where it's hidden? How to enable it?Friday, January 22, 2010 6:20 AM

If I remeber correctly, You need to local administrator permission. Add your domain account to local administator group.
One more thing to add, if you are using server 2008 make sure you are running your IE in administrator.

The warning "Server Farm Configuration not Complete" is displayed on Central Administration pages until you complete three tasks that are required prior to deploying any sites. The Administrator Tasks list displays the tasks that need to be completed, as follows:
-
Create a Shared Services Provider (SSP)

I have already added my domen account to local administrator group but this link is unavailable for me, I guess MS security setting aren't working properly.. as usual. When I loged in as local administrator I could see this function, so I'll probably will work from this account.

Yes I know this but if you read my post carefully you will see that I don't have this link with name " Services on Server "

Hi, Jurģis
From your description, your problem maybe is that you have no access to "Services on server" under the "Operation" tab. please check your user account's permission as below:
1. make sure that your user account is a member of your local administration group.
2. make sure that your user account is a member of the farm administration group.
3. make sure that your user account has access to SQL server service in your farm.
If the problem still exists, please refer to documents below to check the installation steps and configuration:

I suggest you to run configuration wizard again to see if this can complete successfully or not
At the same time, check event viewer logs and the configuration logs(…\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\LOGS\ PSCDiagnostics_month_date_year_hour_minute_second_xxxxxxxxxx.log) to see if there is any error there.Hope it is helpful!
