Keyboard Filter Driver for Bluetooth Keyboard RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I looked at the kbdfiltr wdm driver example. And it seems quite easy to adapt for my needs, however will this kind of filter driver work with bluetooth keyboards ?

  • Yes. Bluetooth keyboards are HID devices and kbdfiltr filters HIDs just fine at the keyboard layer of the stack

  • Doron answered the general question, but I always have to ask why are you using WDM?  There is a KMDF sample for kbdfiltr in the later WDK's and using KMDF means less code for you to write with fewer chances for bugs.

  • Hi Don,

I actually found the KMDF example and I am using that one.
