Online library pages RRS feed

  • This was improved a couple of months ago.  You'll get the library topic right away, the tree loads in the "background".  By the time you're done reading the topic, the tree is at your command.  I use Firefox, in case that matters.

  • Well, I don't know!  I use IE, and it's still pretty slow and jerky until the tree's loaded.   What was wrong with keeping it as it was before??

  • And by the way, as for "By the time you're done reading the topic, the tree is at your command", all I can say is !?!?!?!!!   -  Just suppose you only want to glance at a page before going somewhere else?  What if you accidentally find yourself at the wrong page (it happens, you know!), and want to quickly hop to the right one?   You used to be able to jump around like a flea, not like an octogenarian elephant! (with gout! :-) )

  • How do I get the fix that stopped this happening?   Because I'm still finding that I can't use any buttons or links, or even scroll, until the tree's loaded.

  • The MSDN library is also available as a download.  It's big.

  • ... And that's the only alternative to extreme slowness??
