DF - InfVerif INF Verification test failure on HLK 10.1.14393.4 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

The DF - InfVerif INF Verification test is failing for us but the .inf file seems correct. We suspect there is a bug in infverif.exe which is causing this failure.

    The log output is:

Code 1280, C:\Windows\Inf\oem10.inf line 13: Class name and ClassGuid mismatch, expecting Class "Security Accelerator" for ClassGuid "{268c95a1-edfe-11d3-95c3-0010dc4050a5}".

Our .inf has SecurityAccelerator, as defined in https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff553426. The ClassGuid is correct but the test is expecting an incorrect space.

The equivalent HCK test passes with the same .inf.

    Is this a known issue?

  • Also, since it is unlikely infverif.exe will be fixed anytime soon, is there a way we can have the Class name defined differently for Win10? The information I've seen about making an inf support multiple operating systems doesn't seem to include the items in [Version].
