  • Hi Plínio Luiz,

If I understood you clearly, I think you can disable and hide the default SaveAs button, and then add a customer SaveAs button to achieve your purpose.

    Hope it helps.

    Best regards,

  • Hi Plínio Luiz,

Thank you for posting in the MSDN Forum.

Could you please provide some more detailed description? Such as:

    • What you are going to do with PresentationBeforeSave event.
    • The version of PowerPoint you're using.
    • Your project type. Add-in or other kind of application ?
    • Your code so far, if possible.

I look forward to your reply.

    Best regards,

  • Hi..

I need to intercept the button "save as" so that the user can not save the file locally, and the only way to find it is through intercepts the event "PresentationBeforeSave" but this event will not let me save the file, for what my code does is save a temporary file and sends it to the server. I'm using the event "PresentationSave" it works fine, but when it comes to "save as" does not work as it is called dpois that tightens the save FileDialog.

    -Powerpoint 2010.

    I need something like

Private Sub PPTEvent_PresentationBeforeSave(ByVal Pres As Presentation, Cancel As Boolean)
          if "save as" then

                cancel = true

                call PPTEvent_PresentationSave(pres)

          end if

    End Sub
