  • Cached Exchange Mode is enabled by default when you configure an Exchange account. Here is the steps for disabling the cached exchange mode (enabling the online mode):

    1. Choose File-> Info-> Account Settings-> Account Settings…
    2. Double click your Exchange account and uncheck the option: Use Cached Exchange Mode.
    3. Click Next.
    4. Click Finish.

    Note: you will need to quit and restart Microsoft Outlook for this change to take effect.

    Also please take a look at the Turn on Cached Exchange Mode guide. It will help you to find the required option.

    Finally, if the Cached Exchange Mode option is missing, an Exchange account doesn't exist in your Microsoft Outlook profile.

  • Uncheck "Use Cached Exchange Mode" checkbox.

    Can you be more specific?
