ADF dataset or ADF pipeline pulling multiple Salesforce objects RRS feed

  • Question

  • During my test of the Salesforce connector to copy many objects from Salesforce to Azure SQL, I did not find a way to easily migrate multiple objects in one go.

Currently, one dataset only allows selection of one Salesforce object, and one copy activity only allows for one source dataset. Does that mean if I want to copy 50 objects, I need to create 50 datasets and copy activities? Not particularly feasible..

  • Hello wywfrank,

ADF Copy Data tool is designed for exactly the scenario – it provides a wizard experience to easily author ingestion pipelines against a large number of objects (it produces a ForEach+Copy pipeline).

    Thanks Himanshu
