Azure CDN Custom Domain Not Validating

Question
-
I have followed the instructions to set up https on my Azure CDN in the tutorial articles.
As far as I can tell, I have the CNAME correctly set up, but the domain is not being validated.
It's a little confusing in the documentation on how to set up the CNAME: Should the name in the CNAME record be the full domain name as suggested in the above link or just the www as I have seen elsewhere? Does this make a difference to the validation?
Thanks
Steve

Hi,
I see the domain has been successfully validated now and the certificate is being deployed. It should be good from here.
Thanks for your assistance

Hi,
It is based on the registrar that you are using. If your registrar expects you to enter the first part alone and the rest are pre-populated, then you don't need to enter the full FQDN.
Also once you create a CNAME record in your registrar, just make sure you verify that your Custom domain points to the Azure CDN's URL by doing a nslookup or with any 3rd party tools like dig interface.
If that mapping is done correctly, then it should work.

Hi Msrini
Thanks for your reply. I have verified that the CNAME record works correctly by doing an nslookup. It's just hanging in a "Pending domain validation approval" state for almost a full day now.
Is there anything else you could suggest that could be a problem?
When I try to navigate to the domain, I get the following error:
<Error>
<Code>InvalidQueryParameterValue</Code><Message>Value for one of the query parameters specified in the request URI is invalid. RequestId:6ec60b91-f01e-005d-7a80-56d5f3000000 Time:2019-08-19T11:24:49.8860636Z</Message><QueryParameterName>comp</QueryParameterName><QueryParameterValue/><Reason/></Error>

I have seen CDN validation taking longer than expected, but it will auto resolved.
I can also check internally on the status.
