creating a SOAP Header RRS feed

  • When you create a SOAP header on the top of the root node in a schema, what does that mean? what does it do?

  • Well...in most circumstances, you shouldn't be creating a SOAP header on your own. Leave it to the various frameworks, like WCF.

    A SOAP Header is just a section of Xml that provides meta-data about the transaction.

  • Hi Christiane,

    SOAP header comes into picture when you deal with services (publishing or consuming a service).

    The purpose of SOAP header is to hold application specific information.
