Display documents from library on a non sharepoint site RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

We have a SharePoint 2010 public facing website with annonymous access enabled and we are using a mixture of custom webparts and standard CQWP to display lists of documents from our Document Libraries for the public to view.

The problem is, we are now moving away from SP2010 for our content management but the public facing document libraries will remain.  It's like we will be using SP2010 for our document management system.

So the question is, is it possible to access/query/filter/sort etc documents from the SP libraries on a non SP website?

    Thanks

    Davidg

Yes this is possible, You can use SharePoint REST API to achieve this.

  • Thanks for the reply.

I dont' think this allows for annonymous access though.

i.e I don't think you could create a website at your location and access my public facing annonymous access enabled document library using the rest api.

I could be wrong in thinking that though.
