Bluetooth music transfer not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a device built on Windows Embedded Standard.  We are trying to play music from a smartphone through the bluetooth connection to the device.  We cannot get this to work.  When we had Windows 7 installed as the operating system it worked fine.  Now with Embedded on the same hardware it will see the phone and allow other functions such as file transfer but will not play the music.  It shows that our device is capable of it and allow you to set the features for audio playback (such as speaker selection) but it when you actually connect to the phone it says that service is not available.

Is there some feature of Embedded that needs to be added / installed to match the functionality from Win7?

  • Did you use ICE to create the image? Did you run TAP to generate a PMQ file and import to pull in the inbox driver packges?

Do you have all the audio codecs installed?

  • TAP was run on the machine when it was running Windows 7, and all drivers were added to the answer file when it was built in ICE.

All the codecs included in WES7 were installed.  Are there other after-market codecs that might be needed?
