    I am running as an Administrator, also tried  Security > Logins > myAccount > Server Roles > Checked : sysadmin, dbcreator
    and still not working...

    Hi evilrid,

    Can`t create database in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Management Studio

    using SSMS to create the database the SQL Server service account is used to access the file system and it is very likely that it does not have permission to the specified directory.

    As march11 said, you could change the default path. Besides, you could also use DDL create the database, like this:

    CREATE DATABASE [test_dbb]
    GO
