How to get running services and manufacturer RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to get a list like is shown in msconfig Services tab. This includes the "friendly" name of the service and having the ability to hide Microsoft services like you can do with the checkbox in the same tab. I can't seem to accomplish this with WMI or the ServiceController.GetServices( ) call. Also, it doesn't seem that this information is available in the registry either. WMI gets the friendly name but not the manufacturer.

  • Hi DAM,

    Thank you for posting here.

Based on my search, there doesn't seem to be any good way to get the service's manufacturer in C #.

But it seems that this can be achieved using Power Shell, so I suggest that you can ask this question in the PowerShell forum.

PowerShell: How to get a list of all installed Software on Remote Computers

    Cmdlet listing services' "manufacturer".
