Disable No End Date in new appointment. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to know how to disable No End Date in new appointment recurrence using an Addin written in C#. Reason is I am syncing tasks in db, some users select this option and there will be endless db records. Rather than saying not to do this, I want to disable it when My Adding is enabled.

    Thanks.

  • Why would you want to expand the whole series? Why not store the master task information only along with the recurrence information?

As a workaround, you can copy only a predetermined number of future instances, e.g. 10 for yearly, 100 for monthly, 1000 for weekly, etc.

  • Thanks for your reply.

Thing is I want get end date from user. If there is no 'No end date', they should enter end date no? I can work arround as you said, but can't I disable that option?

And for your question, I should expand the series and log those in a separate manner.

  • No, you cannot disable that option. You can of course modify the recurrence pattern after the user sets it, but this is far from ideal.
