Code Signing Certificate not Found RRS feed

  • Question

  • I previously had a code signing certificate from GoDaddy that used the SHA1 hashing algorithm.  I was able to install and use this certificate without any problems.

I have now upgraded this certificate to use the SHA2 hashing algorithm.  I have installed the new certificate in my "Personal" store.  I can see the certificate using the "Certificates Snap In".

When I try to sign the assembly using the "Click Once" feature . . . I click on the "Select from Store ..." option.  The certificate I want does not show up.

How can I get my certificate to show up so that I can use it?

    Thank you.

  • Thank you for your reply.  I have .NET 4.5 installed.

It turns out that the certificate from GoDaddy was not properly installed on my computer.  Once I installed it properly, everything is working.

Thank you again for your help.
