Visual Studio 2010 hangs after start up RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Visual Studio worked proper on my computer.

Then I installed WinDDK & Symbols.

Now when I start Visual Studio the first time after booting the computer. It always hangs. I have to kill it with the task manager.

Then I can start it again and it starts.

Does some body know this behaviour?

How can this problem be solved?

Answers

  • The Win7 WDK has nothing to do with Visual Studio, it doesn't change VS state or register anything with VS. i would suggest your run process explorer against VS and see what it is stuck on.

  • When you say WinDDK which version are you referring to?
