Unrecognized device error when connect Windows CE 5.0 based device to Windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a windows CE 5.0 device, which I would like to connect to Windows 7.  Is it possible ?  With Windows XP, Active Sync used to Connect.  With Windows 7 I downloaded Windows Mobile Device Center but it says Unrecognized device. Please can someone help.
I have installed all latest Windows 7 updates and still it seems driver is missing.
    Thanks
    John

  • Try warm-booting the device. If that doesn't work, then try the tips on the WMDC troubleshooting pages:

  • It's a long shot, but with the device connected, try starting Win 7 device manager, right click something and select "scan for hardware changes".
