Can I launch the default app from code? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been developing my app on the RP3 and using Wifi, as my app opens up a listener on Port 57.  When I am debugging, I have the Pi boot up into the Default app, where I can setup the Wifi settings from the config (gear icon). After connecting to Wifi, I then can debug through wifi and launch my app.  The problem is, when I have a new environment and my app is set as the default app, there is no way, besides using a LAN connection and port 8080 for the user to setup Wifi. I want to allow the user to use the touch screen to setup wifi like the default app capability (using RP standard 7" touch screen).  Is there a way to either launch the default app from my app, or include wifi configuration capability in my app?  This sandbox stuff makes things tough on devices...

    Thanks,
