  • You mean a one to many relationship? sure, although to be honest I don't use VS ORM (I asume you mean this instead of linq) to design my databases

  • The diagram makes it look like he wants two row classes to inherit a base class.

    If so, the answer is no, you should not change your inheriting structures of row LinqToSql classes.  I remember reading this somewhere in "Framework Design Guidelines" 2ed.

    I recommend using an Adapter Pattern. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adapter_pattern
