I have read a few things lately that have mentioned using HTTP handlers and modules with the web.config file.

However, I haven't been able to make any sense out of any of it.

Can anyone point me to some documentation on using HTTP handlers with web.config (For beginners)?

Everything I have found seems to be a little over my head right now.

Basically, I need to know what HTTP handlers and modules are... why they would be used.... how and where to insert them (in the web.config file and in the aspx pages), how to use (call) them... etc.

    Thanks in advance.

A good starting point is to read over the msdn documentation for HTTP Handlers and modules found here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb398986.aspx

That should get you started at least. i will try to dig up some more tutorials on using and implementing them for you.

    Hope it helps,

    Mike
