"Publish" changed Page Verification to NONE RRS feed

  • Question

  • Along with the change to SIMPLE from FULL Recovery cited in my original post under the Beta Forum: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/lightswitchgeneral/thread/09fb8037-a103-4657-9069-e4c043dc5596/ I have just been alerted to that fact that "Publish" also changed "Page Verification" to NONE!

This was done SILENTLY and without my acquiescence.  VERY DANGEROUS!

No other forum posts cite this as an issue.  Perhaps the target DB is not an existing critical Production DB?

Anyway, it's a very real issue and traceable to the first "Publish" action on 6/13/2011 - the DB configuration having only just come to light thanks to Red-Gate's SQL Monitor checking this on cluster failover.

WORSE STILL: Publish turned OFF READ_COMMITTED_SNAPSHOT on the target DB - EEK! What else did it do???
