That's not how it should be done.
You give the ORG a hosting plan with 2 mailboxconfigs and you setup the Exchangeorg with an admin that YOU control.
Then you create the first user for their admin and give him the right to create MB but not to change plans.
The 20 platinum packages can then be applied by you to the users they tell you.
That is by far not the most beautiful solution but the most efficient in our view.

Hi John,
Good task! Are you sure you want to implement such solution?
*You know what... I do not recommend you to perform such WSP database changes... Honestly I didn’t try it before.
In case of yes, additional WSP database investigation required. Please be careful / before any changes >>> backup required!!!
Simply speaking… let’s suppose, you need to find / duplicate required WSP database values assign/share probably to/with both / required Hosting Spaces.
Right now.. I’m not sure regarding creation / using of different spaces quotas (Hosting Plans) for probably shared Hosted Organization…
Hard to imagine if Hosted Organization removed under the at least one Hosting Space, also Hosted Organization is shared with.
We can try to investigate at least (and from the start) >>> Hosting Organization sharing steps.
Please see my e-mail below.
Thank you in advance.

Sure, if you tell me where in the process you need the details.

Hi Menefre,
You talk about to give the ORG a hosting plan with 2 mailboxconfigs.
I guess the mailbox configs are the ones one your Exchange server (ServicePlans) - right? To setup the ExchangeORG with an admin account that I control, should I do that underneath the customer that would have the Exchange accounts or somewhere else?
Thnx Dansko

Dear Dansko,
1. Mailboxconfigs: you are absolutely correct. Configure 2 settings in the serviceplan file on your CA-server(s). Careful: if you have more than one CAS you have to copy this plan to all of them!
2. Admin: just make sure that YOU setup the ORG in WSP. During this process you can (have to) define an admin. This is YOUR admin.
As soon as the ORG is active go to ECP and create one clientmailbox and give it the right to create and manage Mailboxes (the default role has no right to change the default serviceplan).
The rest can be done by your client. If you want to (we do it that way) we set the "hiddenfrom addresslist" attribute to "true" for "our" admin, which is basically useless for the client.
Whenever the client now wishes to change the serviceplan - you have to affirm it and you are the only one who can do it.
Again, this might be not "beautifully" but for us it serves the purpose perfectly ( and is actually a great improvement to 2007).

Hi Menefre,
That sounds great! Now we ar not using any control panel and we do every change ourselfs!
So this would allready be a great improvement!(For now) the last question will be how I can change 1 account from full functions (SPLA Exchange Enterprise) to non-MAPI (SPLA Exchange Basic)
Thnx Dansko

This I cannot answer quickly, since I am not using that.
I believe this is also done through serviceplans but the exchange forum for sure is a better place for that question.

Hi Menefre,
But you give John Yassa advise how to do something like this. Don't you?
Thnx Dansko

not that I remember. there is a discussion in this forum somewhere on how to do it - and I participated.
But first this was 2007 I believe and second - I was not right, or at least another solution was better.Cant remember anymore exactly...
